I saw my pain doctor this morning, and I actually saw him instead of the NP because the NP has apparently left the practice. Since I didn't like her as much as I like Dr. Z I was really okay with that. We talked about life stressors, including my mom, and how the migraines have been worsening in severity but not frequency. 1. Nuvigil is a wonder drug, omg. I did not sleep well last night, woke up congested and with my head pounding. I have not taken Excedrin today, I've taken ibuprofen and had tea. Yesterday I got a really, really bad migraine, bad enough that two doses of dilaudid didn't kill it. I know my local ER won't give me narcotics without talking to my pain doctor, because rules that make no sense to me, but whatever, I figured they could call him and maybe get somewhere.
